Labour Law Legislation
La Strada Czech Republic provides help not only to victims of human trafficking; we also help those who find themselves in a situation similar to this phenomenon. The most important laws in this (labour-law) area are:
- Act No. 262/2006 Coll., Labour Code, as amended (available in Czech at: https://portal.gov.cz/app/zakony/zakon.jsp?page=0&nr=262~2F2006&rpp=15#seznam)
- Act No. 251/2005 Coll., on Labour Inspection, as amended, (available in Czech at: http://www.zakonyprolidi.cz/cs/2005-251),
- Act No. 435/2004 Coll., on Employment, as amended, (available in Czech at: http://www.zakonyprolidi.cz/cs/2004-435),
- Act No. 118/2000 Sb., on the Protecion of Employees in case of Insolvency of the Employer, as amended (available in Czech at: http://www.zakonyprolidi.cz/cs/2000-118).
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic is responsible to perform controls related to the observance of labour law (regional labour inspectorates and employment offices).
