Cíle:

  • To further develop a long-term assistance programme, which in addition to the immediate short-term assistance (shelter, financial support, cloths, medical care, assistance with dealing with relevant authorities) and online/in-person counselling, offers clients long-term alternatives to regain control over their lives. La Strada aims to provide a comprehensive social assistance program responding to the needs of each individual client, empowering her to make informed decision in order to lead an independent life while aiming at maximum possible protection and promotion of her rights and interests. To fulfil the project’s objective the social assistance team aims to provide complex social services, consultancy (social, psychological and legal) on issues related to employment, training, education or direct support and guidance to individuals in order to increase their chances to return to the labour market.
  • To make legal counselling effective part of the social assistance activities of La Strada, by providing legal support for clients with the aim to allow for maximum possible protection of their needs and interests focusing, inter alia, on ensuring compensation for damages. Long term goal is to strategically litigate to highest possible level (ECHR, ECJ).
