Czech Inn and La Strada Partnership Kicks Off at Halloween Monster Bash

All Hallow's Eve found Czech Inn dancing to the sound of reggae, dressed in their finest costumes, and helping people in need here in the Czech Republic.

Czech Inn hosted the Halloween Monster Bash in their beloved brick-cellar basement. Local favorite, Ting (featuring Afrodisiak – http://www.myspace.com/tingband) sent waves of reggae to every corner of the old world style basement turned concert venue. Almost everywhere you looked there were people clothed in crazy costumes entranced by the soulful music.

This celebration was not just about music, costumes and dancing. It featured a creative effort to help those in need, as the kick off to Czech Inn’s partnership with La Strada, a human trafficking prevention organization here in Prague. A silent auction, containing a variety of prizes, lasted all night with 100% of the proceeds going directly to La Strada. Prizes included stays in friend hostels across Europe, local artist’s creations, dance lessons and more. The crowd responded well and both Czech Inn and La Strada could not be more excited about this partnership.

The National Coordinator of La Strada, Irena Konecná, was present for the festivities. From the stage she shared the heart and purpose of La Strada to all in attendance. Later in the evening she said, „This fundraiser and celebration is a first for La Strada. It's also a first for Czech Inn. We look forward to many more events that spring up from this partnership and friendship.“ And those at Czech Inn share the same hopes.
